Applying Jesus’ Teachings: Relationships, Finances, and Health

Sunday, we explored the story of Jesus’ first miracle at the wedding in Cana, where he transforms water into wine. Mary’s instruction to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you,” was the theme for the day.

Pastor applied this principle to various aspects of life, including:

  1. Relationships: Jesus’ teachings on love, submission, and forgiveness can help heal and strengthen relationships.
  2. Finances: Following Jesus’ instructions on generosity, debt, and trust can lead to financial stability and peace.
  3. Mental health: Jesus’ counsel on prayer, confession, and meditation can bring peace and calm to troubled minds.
  4. Physical health: Trusting Jesus as the healer and following his teachings can lead to physical wholeness.

He emphasized that:

  • We can’t solve our problems on our own; we must entrust them to Jesus.
  • Doing what Jesus says is not about earning salvation or solving problems through our own efforts.
  • Instead, it’s about trusting Jesus to work through us and bring about his good gifts.

You are encouraged to:

  • Entrust your troubles to Jesus.
  • Do what Jesus says, even when it seems impossible or counterintuitive.
  • Trust Jesus to provide what is needed, knowing that he is the only one who can truly solve our problems.
